Our patients’ and staff’s health and safety is our top priority. In accordance with guidance made by the CDC, American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), as well as state and local health agencies, we have made the decision to limit the appointments we are seeing to emergent cases only for the foreseeable future.
All clinical and non-emergency appointments and surgeries scheduled to occur during this time have been called to reschedule. If you have not been in contact with us and have an upcoming appointment please call us at 843-856-5275.
During this time period, if you experience an eye emergency, please call us at 843-856-5275. Please be patient, we have limited staff available in order to keep our staff as healthy as possible. In addition, if you are exhibiting symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath, please let us know prior to your arrival so we can make necessary precautions or take further actions to assist you.
Rest assured, we are also taking additional safeguards to keep our office clean and safe. Any employees with a fever or symptoms will not be present in the practice and must be cleared by a doctor in order to return. Also, in addition to our already regimented sanitation protocols we are cleaning and sanitizing more often throughout the day, especially in high-touch areas. We will continue to keep you informed and up-to-date as we monitor this ever-changing situation in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Thank you for your continued patience and trust. We will continue to alert you through our website and social media outlets as updates are made. The team at Charleston Cornea & Refractive Surgery look forward to serving you again soon.
